The Objects of this organization are to be the official Honor Degree of the Veterans of Foreign Wars...To promote social and reunion features among its' own members and to keep alive therein the spirit of optimism and humor so characteristic of the American service men and women.

The Rules of Orders for the VFW will be reversed...to vote "yes" the Cootie says "no" and vice verse...Instead of making a motion a Cootie will rise and say "I second that motion"...a Cootie who intends to second the motion will rise and say "I make that motion".To grant the floor to a member the S.S. will declare the member "out of order...shoot"...For a member to take the floor he will rise and stand upright with his left hand behind his back and give the Cootie salute by scratching his chin with his right hand and say"Cootie number so and so...To make a member sit down and take the floor away from him the S.S. will declare him "In Order" and tell him to sit down...A Cootie can throw coins like pennies and such on the floor but don't get caught by Jimmy Legs picking them up...The Provost Marshal shall keep the decor of the scratch and deem out and collect the fines and as Jimmy Legs will turn the money over to the Custodian of the Crummy Duffel Bag...

Hanover Post on Sept.12th at 2pm...Littlestown Post on Nov. 21st at 2pm

Under Good of the Order a healthy discussion on the way forward was held,which I may,to some,went over the edge but I just want everyone to know that the officers in now will not be next year...for about the 9th time for some...if Pup Tent continues on the course of the past...we need members to be active and promote the Cooties...

Discussion to attaching a Cootie card to VFW membership applications so new members know of us at least...

On a good note...the attendance was twice what it was and I thank you for that and also the Pup Tent took in five new members that I hope will remain active and help make repairs to this low life and lousy fraternity...Welcome and may the Great Blouse share his Sulphur Ointment of Happiness with you all...Increase and multiply with attendance is the name of the game...

Listen up you low down slimy creatures...Being duly elected (conned more like it) as Seam Squirrel of Pup Tent 57 for the year 2010-2011 and being the crummiest of them all I hereby reserve the right to Stray...Delete...forget...Add or Decrease...to tune you out and just fade away as I may see fit at the time...

Yep...that low down vermin who coined the term "Head Chipmunk" is at it once again and would like to see all of you no good lousy so called Cooties crawl on your bellies to Gettysburg VFW Post 15 at 2pm...and may the fangs of the Great Blouse tear you apart bit by bit and may the Sulphur Ointment of Happiness dry up and vanish forever to those who can...but choose no to attend...Are you a member or just another Card Carrier???you decide...if your the latter you may not have a card to carry next year...

Since 1920 the Military Order of the Cootie has helped millions and millions of veterans and their family and orphans...held blood drives after blood drives...Donated and participated with the children in our National Home...brought plenty of laughter...smiles and tears to the eyes of many old and young forgotten Veterans wasting away in Nursing homes...VA's...Retirement villages and more...That was then...this is today...Pup Tents are folding up or merging with other Pup Tents left and right all across the country due to a lack of interest and attendance of members...Our Pup Tent is on the verge of joining them...for the past eight years...longer for some...it has been the same six to nine members holding it all together by maintaining their chairs and positions because there was just no one else willing and we did not want to lose the charter...once gone...gone forever...sadly this will not do any longer if we are to continue to "Keep 'Em Smiling in Beds of White"...

Throughout the years the fun part was lost and the politics began...there was arguing...hostile intentions towards other members...knives in the back and dagger eyes...disrespect...rudeness and ignorance and just plain wrong things...This too will not do nor will it be tolerated if we are to survive...anyone in this position or mind set may be dismissed from the Scratch as the Seam Squirrel sees fit...We are all Veterans...a special kind of Americans who took and continue to make oaths to our God and Country and Organizations to do all in our power to aid fellow veterans and their families...whether you like a guy or not should never even enter the equation...

No one wants nor needs to travel to a meeting and get hammered on...we are all volunteers...we do it from our hearts and because it is a Just Cause...we don't get paid except for the glow in our hearts...we are Veterans...all of us...not one better then another...attend the Scratches and leave all the Bull Crap at the door and share some Sulphur Ointment of Happiness with fellow scum and sewer creatures for a few hours...let us commit to the cause at hand...if this Pup Tent does not revive to its' former state of comradeship and brotherhood and most importantly...the fun and laughter hand in hand with the goals of making life a bit better for a veteran young or old and to be there for them then I fear we will also join the ranks of those with no interest and no charter for the Order of the Cootie...Will an Honor Degree exist?? The good we do and a tradition lost or not...in the end is your call my brother...This is the 90th Anverssary of the Cootie by they way...

Now Listen up you poor excuse of a Cootie

The Annual Family Picnic will be August 15th at 1pm at Phil Klunks house...140 Sunset Lane,Abbottstown.

The Pup Tent will provide the refreshments and hamburgers and hotdogs and ect.Members are asked to bring a covererd dish and your lawn chairs...any Poker players out there be sure to bring your change jar...

Call myself Mort at 259-1192 or Phil at 259-9993 if you plan to attend and how many so there is enough foodf or all...Come out and enjoy the day with some good food and comradeship especially you new Cooties...get to know more of us and have some food and fun in the meantime...Hope to see you there but do call...
